How about putting up on social media the names addresses, workplaces, habits and hobbies of all the people that have served for Queen and country all over the world? Is THAT in the public interest? Why so? Surly that they did so at OUR behest makes that overwhelmingly "public interest"?

Behave, you over-dramatic drama queen.

And yeah Sven, May was an utter mess in that interview. Flustered by the limp wristed Marr of all people.

I don't think they should rush out a running commentary on every test unless its to say .... Walsall RUN! A BOMB IS ABOUT TO LAND ON YOU

But .... if there was to be a vote in Parliament on Trident all the facts known about its performance and capability should have been known to MP's.
Or are we saying decisions should be taken with facts hidden?

Who decides what defence related information should be released to the public and what are their qualifications for making that decision?

Don't even BOTHER with that limp "In the public interest" bollocks - is it in the public interest to announce to all and any potential enemies every single one of our capabilities?

How about putting up on social media the names addresses, workplaces, habits and hobbies of all the people that have served for Queen and country all over the world? Is THAT in the public interest? Why so? Surly that they did so at OUR behest makes that overwhelmingly "public interest"?

We delegate much of running our society to "experts". Provided there is adequate checks on what they do (a screaming headline is NOT one such check, by any stretch of the imagination) we should let them get on with what they're employed to do so we can get on with what we're best at.

Has Terri MAY decided what story to go with yet?
She was asked 4 times on the Andrew Marr Show whether she knew about this test and when but refused to answer the question
It's a pretty simple question

Right on time in walks Oxsaw being both self important and boring. Good to see you're at least consistent.

I was also amused that you want congratulating for the shit situation you got yourself in which has nothing to do with Trident at all.

What a wanker.

Tell us, Vexed, exactly how many mines did you make safe in warring African states before that tart Diana made it a gap year vocation.

Me? I wasn't counting - there was always one more. Short of bringing my kids up single handed in a foreign country, that was probably the most rewarding thing I've ever done in my life.

When you CAN walk the walk, people might offer you the respect you so crave. Do carry on pounding your keyboard though - you amuse many.

Re: Trident
There are some seriously boring, self important, no marks on this thread. The usual suspects who I imagine would be excruciatingly yawnsome in person, but probably dont realise it. Oxsaw and Surface being the two primary bellends who exist at the very apex of everything which is both extremely boring and cringingly jumped up. The sort of blokes that work in the security hut outside a big building and think they run the place. They'd never have a day off for fear of the whole place grinding to a halt. In reality of course they'd just be replaced with another self important no mark whose name nobody knows and whose contribution to the running of anything but their own bowel movements is nugatory.

This site could do with shedding threads like this and the greasy skidmark posters that hang on like dangleberries to anything where they can get all outraged or try to point score, demonstrating who has the most lonely time on their hands. Boring doesn't even cover it, this site is going to shit. Fucking Trident. Like anyone on here even has half a clue anyway. Tragic.

Re: Trident
You seem to have anger issues about this case and want to take them out on me. The thing is that a manslaughter verdict impacts immediately on the army insofar as those in charge will have to give much more consideration as to how they deploy staff than they have done so far. In addition military personnel will have to be shown to be demonstratively monitored as to their state of mind.

We can see how a murder verdict is different because it can be concluded the bloke knew what he was doing, knew it was wrong but he was a wrong'un that slipped through the net.

, 8:55 Sun Jan 22
Re: Trident
Read this about the Marine A case;

David James Smith, lead CCRC Commissioner on the case, said: “We have scrutinised this murder conviction in minute detail and after a thorough investigation we have concluded that there are new issues – principally relating to Mr Blackman’s state of mind at the time of the shooting – which in our view raise a real possibility that an appeal against conviction would now succeed. On that basis we are sending the case back to the Courts Martial Appeal Court so that a fresh appeal can be heard.”

It is likely that Marine A's state of mind will be deemed as not sound at the time and thus change his guilty crime from murder to manslaughter.

If i was you i would consider posting on a different thread as its obvious you have nothing to contribute that makes sense to this argument.

You quote "This fresh verdict though will have an immediate effect on the army and make it much more difficult for officers in charge on the field of combat."

The whole issue was the fact that those that were not in the field were not providing adequate leadership and command of the situation because certain elements were exhausted and under manned and battle weary and the chain of command failed them.

Its not about those in the field, its about the cunts behind the desks who are looking out for each other including Blackett.

Now when you can contribute to the conversation, I will listen, until then.......

Re: Trident
You've made an incorrect assumption about me and have jumped to a wrong conclusion about what I posted.

The points you have put up in your post of 8,02 if all brought to Court will likely show Marine A not to have been of sound mind at the time of the killing and thus reduce his crime to manslaughter.

This fresh verdict though will have an immediate effect on the army and make it much more difficult for officers in charge on the field of combat.
